Diamond Platnumz born Nasibu Abdul Juma Issack on October 2, 1989, in Tandale, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, is a renowned Tanzanian musician, actor, dancer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Raised in a low-income family, his passion for music emerged early. He debuted in 2009 with “Nenda Kamwambie” and gained widespread fame with his 2010 hit “Mbagala.”
Diamond has released numerous hits, collaborating with international artists like Davido, Ne-Yo, and Omarion. He has won multiple awards, including Tanzania Music Awards and MTV Africa Music Awards, and was the first African artist to surpass 1 billion YouTube views.
In 2014, he founded Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), a significant East African record label. He also ventured into media with Wasafi TV and Wasafi FM. His philanthropic efforts include scholarships, healthcare support, and disaster relief.
