Zambian music sensation, Yo Maps, was reportedly questioned by the Anti-Corruption Commission on Tuesday for being in possession of a Toyota Landcruiser VX.
Reports say ACC investigators quizzed Yo Maps, real name Elton Mulenga, to interrogate his source of wealth, and how he was able to fund such luxury.
The trending news has been preyed on by netizens on social media.
Socialite Lillian Mutambo who has had a public spat with the singer in the past came to the defence of the musician.
“Clearly ACC has no idea that streams such as YouTube and Boomplay pay a lot of money. Yo Maps genuinely makes a lot of money and its shameful to investigate him,” Mutambo wrote.
Another social media user insinuated that it had now become crime to be wealthy.
